Oleh: Harianto Hardjasaputra, M. Ibrahim, R. TampubolonABSTRAK: Pondasi merupakan unsur yang sangat penting dalam suatu bangunan, apakah itu gedung tinggi, jembatan maupun bangunan industri. Meskipun bangunan atas telah direncanakan dengan baik dan dapat dilakukan pengawasan serta pelaksanaan yang baik pula, tetapi akan mengalami kegagalan bila sistem pondasinya jelek. Oleh karena itu untuk mendapatkan konstruksi yang tidak gagal maka sistem pondasi perlu diuji terlebih dahulu sebelum pelaksanaan struktur atasnya. Jadi bila diperkirakan sistem pondasinya ada yang gagal maka dapat dilakukan tindakan perbaikannya. Pada paper ini akan dibahas quality control yang dilakukan untuk menjamin besarnya daya dukung tiang dan integritas tiang, melalui serangkaian uji coba, yang merupakan gabungan antara cara konvensional dan cara terkini, yang semuanya sudah distandarisasi di ASTM. Penerapan rangkaian uji coba ini merupakan tahapan penting yang harus ada sebagai langkah untuk pencegahan kegagalan pondasi.

Oleh: Yosafat Aji PranataABSTRACT : The most territories in Indonesia are categorized into moderate and heavy seismic zone, consequently the modeling and analysis of seismic resistant building in Indonesia become popular and important. The current trend of seismic resistant building concept, which is performance-based design, is used. Open frame building with special moment resisting frame system, ten-stories and regular reinforced concrete building, that is used in this study, is designed and evaluated using direct displacement-based design and pushover analysis. Results in this study indicate that base shear obtained from direct displacement-based design method is 74698,23 kg (SEAOC equivalent damping), and 53120,93 kg (Judi equivalent damping). Base shear obtained from pushover analysis is 425596,1 kg (performance point). Natural period of SDOF equivalent obtained from direct displacement-based design method is 11.5996 second (SEAOC) and 13.7552 second (Judi et. al 2000). Natural period obtained from pushover analysis is 4.337 second.

Oleh: Suroso dan Hery Awan SusantoABSTRACT : The changes of land use at catchments area contributed significant impact on the flood discharge. This phenomena also happened in the catchments area of Banjaran River, especially at up-stream area, i.e. Baturraden tour area and at down-stream area caused by population pressure. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of land use changes on flood discharge, at control point in Patikraja of catchments area of Banjaran River. To calculate flood discharge, rational method was used. Data used in the research comprised rainfall data, data of land use and data of topography. The data of rainfall used was daily rainfall recorded in Ketenger station. The daily rainfall was transformed to hourly rainfall intensity using Mononobe method. The result of this study showed that the changes of land use from 1759. 28 ha paddy field, 259.54 ha farming lands, 1284.36 ha housings in 1995, in to 1603.97 ha paddy field, 283.32 ha farming lands, 1445.88 ha housings in 2001, caused the increase of the flood discharge at Banjaran river at control point in Patikraja. The increase of the flood discharge that caused by the changes of land use, is approached with linier trend equation Y=A+B*X1+C*X2+D*X3. The variable of y is the flood discharge. The variable of X1, X2, X3 and X4 are paddy field area, farming lands area, and housings area. The combination correlation coefficient is 0.682. Variable of A, B, C and D on 5 years return periods rainfall events are -266.81, 0.09, 0.06, 0.18. The partial correlation coefficient, RYX1 is -0.682, RYX2 is -0.616, RYX3 is 0.682. From the partial correlation coefficient, it shows that the most influential of land uses for the flood discharge is paddy fields and housing. The next, it is farming lands.

Geographycally, Padang City is national gate of “Growth Triangle District” which is including Asean main cities, South China, and South India. Increasing of passengers and cargoes, and after few of comparizon studies taken between Tabing Airport and possibly build of new airport, Transportation Department of Republic Indonesia decided to move air transportation facility which firstly located at Tabing, Padang to Ketaping, Padang Pariaman. However, since Minangkabau International Airport (MIA) operated on 22 July 2005 ago, followed by the closing of Tabing Airport at Padang on 21 July 2005 midnight, we found that until now passenger volume projection is exceed by rapid growth of flight industry recently. This paper studies about The 2nd Stage of BIM Development Plan which fulfilled projection needs capacity until year 2020. This Development Plan is hoped feasible economically and financially to be developed in future day.

This will bring consequences of using new and even more sophisticated technology, such as interchanges, flyovers, freeways, elevated railways track, coordinated traffic signs, etc, to accommodate faster velocity and bigger traffic volume, especially in the urban area. On the other hand, the increasing number of motor vehicles traffic volume will also increase traffic jam, air pollution, and noise. It needs efforts to overcome those problems, which have to be integrated, like the arrangement of city space, traffic, using of alternative energy for motor vehicles, using mass rapid transit.

The concrete block pavement has specialist types of laying pattern for distributing the traffic loading on it. The knowledge of laying method and it’s maintenance is useful to optimize the function of concrete block pavement as flexible pavement construction.

Oleh: Rene Sumantri Kurniadi, Florian Tom WordenABSTRAKT : Offshore Bauwerke, Erdverlegte Rohrleitungen, Maschinenfundamente u.ä. werden im Allgemeinen ständig zyklisch beansprucht. Im Fall von zyklischer Beanspruchung weist der Boden bleibende Deformationen auf, die mit der Änderung der Anordnung der Bodenkörner – sowie deren Zerstoβung verbunden ist. Es ist für die bodenmechanische Untersuchung von Interesse, den Betrag der bleibenden Deformation innerhalb der Lebensdauer des Bauwerks abzuschätzen sowie den Einfluss der zyklischen Beanspruchung auf das Festigkeits- und Reibungsverhalten von Erdstoffen festzustellen. Die Untersuchung wurde mit der numerischen Modellierung zyklischer Scherversuche mit Hilfe der DEM ausgeführt. Die Modellierung eines granularen Bodens mit der DEM eignet sich besser als die Modellierung mit der Finiten Element Methode (FEM), da die DEM auf diskontinuumsmechanik berüht, gegensätzlich berüht die FEM auf kontinuumsmechanik.
